Ode to Life
Fixing things, making things work.
Practice practice practice
Is what my teacher always says
When we start with a discord of sounds
My mind repeats itself,
Spiraling, spiraling, spiraling
The cycle must break,
But the world keeps spinning
The sun rises up, new day, new you
Let cycles break like dawn,
Let them grow anew alike spring
To be nurtured,
Improved in the summer, perfected in the fall
And when winter comes
Let the cycles go
And start anew. New day, new cycle
After all, it’s only practice
And with enough practice,
Maybe, maybe, just maybe
we create something beautiful
